We used to use a proxy server in our company. Due to several problems we abandoned this and now connect without proxy.

I changed the settings in BOINC to "No Proxy server" but this does not stick. Whenever I try to connect I receive an error message saying "proxy authentication failure" In order to connect I have to manually enable the proxy server, Connect, go back to settings, disable it again and then connect. Only after this procedure BOINC will be able to connect to any project.

I use Windows 7 and BOINC 7.6.6 with serveral projects (SETI, Einstein, PrimeGrid, Cosmology@Home, Climateprediction).

Please help!

See if blanking all the proxy fields before unticking the "Connect via proxy" option helps.

You also may have proxy settings in cc_config.xml . Check that too.
