I am running an upgrade to Windows 10 (from 7). In windows 7, BOINC started just fine. In windows 10, it does not start at startup. If I start it manually, it asks if I want to run as administrator. I tell it yes, and BOINC runs.

I have tried specifying that the program always runs as administrator for all users, but that doesn't make a difference. Interestingly, the screen saver and the tray tool both run as specified in startup. I have looked at the startup programs, and BOINCMGR is indeed there.

From what I can tell, it should run on startup. I have seen some discussion in some forums that some programs that are specified at startup but require admin permissions will not start correctly in Windows 10 without editing the local security policies. Unfortunately, there is no security policy editor in the home version of windows 10.

Any suggestions?

Should have added, running latest version of BOINC, 7.6.9, uninstalled and reinstalled under windows 10. No difference.
