Has anyone else been having issues when playing audio or video files on Windows 7 x64 using any browser or program while BOINC 7.x.x is open?
It does not matter much if you suspend the program and it release the CPU and GPU tasks. I have to close the program completely and make sure that no processes related to it are running, and then audio and video play cleanly and all the programs are fine.
Crunching for SCIENCE not CREDITS.

I occasionally have problems with audio playback (iTunes) on my i7 laptop, but only when it's at "full burn" on the CPU. I have video issues on nearly all of my GPU computing rigs when they're running at a high utilization. But, those are resolved by pausing CPU and GPU computation, respectively. Is there a "runaway" process that's not following the request from BOINC to suspend? Take a look in the task manager when you've paused BOINC.

No runaway processes. When paused the CPU goes down below 5 % and the GPU thermals drop significantly. But I still have to close the program to stop the video/audio choppiness.
