Hello! Is there any way to establish a connection to the Android BOINC client using the PC manager ? I tried using the phone's local IP , But went unsuccesful . Maybe the gui_rpc_remote option is not enabled ? I can't either find the password browsing the root filesystem. |

Nobody seems to have succeeded doing that with the Berkeley version, not heard of success [pieces were removed, or you need rooting the device to config, that is, if BfA has not had those parts for cc_config bits not too taken out]. The alternate NativeBOINC app, does fine on that, but it wont run on Android 5.0 and up. Coelum Non Animum Mutant, Qui Trans Mare Currunt |

The only files available in root/sdcard/data/data/edu.berkeley.boinc/client are: boinc, boinccmd, lockfile, time_stats_log, gui_rpc_auth.cfg, ca-bundle.crt, stderrdae.txt, stderrgpudetect.txt, stdoutdae.txt, all_projects_list.xml, cc_config.xml, client_state.xml, client_state_prev.xml, coproc_info.xml and daily_xfer_history.xml |

hmmmm cc_config.xml, implies if you insert <allow_remote_gui_rpc>1</allow_remote_gui_rpc> in there and set gui_rpc_auth.cfg with some memorable password, you could maybe try connecting [but you need rooting, and I'm told that action is good enough to have to install everything from scratch.] Coelum Non Animum Mutant, Qui Trans Mare Currunt |
