Apologies if this isn't the right place for this, but here we go. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, have been running 7.6.9 without Virtualbox for some time. Now, each time I try to install the 7.6.9 version with the VM, two things happen. Firstly, the installation stalls right at the end of the process, and second, the process somehow babs out my internet connection. The device drivers seem to install just fine. The stall precedes the internet issue. For now, I've fixed everything by uninstalling the VM, and running the non-VM version. Does anyone have any ideas on what's happening, or how to fix it? I will provide more details and a screenshot if you need. ![]() I shoot cancer (686 Magnum) |

When the installation stalls at the end of the process, try to reboot. You're going to need to reboot anyway, because of that losing of the internet connection, which is normal as VirtualBox installs its own 100MBit host-only virtual Ethernet adapter. To finalize this installation, a reboot is required. |
