No tasks are initialized: # boinccmd--get_tasks ======== Tasks ======== # Boinc messages are " # boinccmd -- get_messages 27: 04-Sep-2014 18:24:13 (internal error) [] [error] Can't create HTTP response output file notices/www.worldcommunitygrid.org_viewNoticesRSSFeed.action.xml [...] Is this error responsible for not having tasks or would there be another reason? All communication between the BOINC client and World Community Grid and vice versa is HTTPS. How did you add the project? |

27: 04-Sep-2014 18:24:13 (internal error) [] [error] Can't create HTTP response output file notices/www.worldcommunitygrid.org_viewNoticesRSSFeed.action.xml It's trying to download notices from WCG but can't create that file to store them in. I don't think failing to download notices would prevent having tasks. [...] What's in the other messages? |

Same user, same OP runs in a thread on the WCG forums, where there he wrote "I cannot start a new task:" Coelum Non Animum Mutant, Qui Trans Mare Currunt |

Okay, I have been doing some searches. This error seems to happen when: - the application mentioned is being actively scanned and blocked by anti virus. The AV may have flagged a warning as well, or is waiting for a response from the user about what to do with this file. - there are permission problems after the BOINC Data directory was moved to another place and BOINC wasn't reinstalled to fix the permissions on the folder. |
