Ever since I've started using a VPN (about a week now), I no longer get new tasks for my BOINC projects. In addition, when BOINC has a notice and I click the Notices tab, my browser pops open with "Can't open the page "localhost" because can't connect to the servers "localhost" " Any ideas? |

Apparently, you don't say what OS and/or VPN client you're using on you system -- there might be options. However, just guessing here, when you have installed VPN client it reconfigured your networking, and BOINC (oh, boy, can you imagine that?) is completely unaware of this sudden change. I believe, that re-installing BOINC (with optional wipe) will introduce it to current networking and automagically solve this mysterious issue. As of possible less dramatic solutions -- if you withdraw details, no cookies. I'm counting for science, points just make me sick. |

Yes - my bad - I did leave out important info: macOS 10.12.4 Private Internet Access is the VPN Yes - you are probably right - I should uninstall BOINC along with the directory in /Library/Application Support and install it again WITH the VPN ON Thx |

Success - and thanks for the suggestion. Just removed BOINC completely, rebooted and started from scratch. No problem now. |
