Fedora Rawhide 64-bit; both Boinc v. 7.6.22-7 and VirtualBox v. 5.1.22-1 installed from the Fedora repos. VirtualBox has its plugins installed, and I'm pretty sure I added user boinc to the virtualbox group. what else can I check? |

What do you get if you run these two commands from command line: /usr/bin/VBoxManage --version and sudo -u boinc /usr/bin/VBoxManage --version Replace sudo with something else if Fedora doesn't use it. |

Those look fine. Do you not get message like "07/07/2017 23:34:52 | | VirtualBox version: 5.0.32" in logs or do you get some kind of error somewhere or what exactly is wrong? |

I don't know what the problem could be or how to fix it. There was a post in Cosmology forums where someone had to restart BOINC client ("sudo service boinc-client restart" on Ubuntu, adjust as necessary) to get VirtualBox detected. LHC recommends running BOINC not as a service but under your normal user account. Cosmology on the other hand has no such recommendation. |
