Environment: Boinc client and manager ver 7.2.42 (64 bit), Linux Mint 17.1 (64 bit) Some client task crashed Now Boinc Manager cannot connect to a client. Displays popup message that client has exited unexpectedly 3 time in 7 minutes. ps shows no boinc processes running. stdout shows that client starts and reads preferences, seems to be processing project files. Last msgs are initialization complete, running CPU benchmarks stderr says it cannot find directories: slots, projects, etc. They do exist in boinc-client directory eventually crashes with messages: mv: cannot stat 'slots/0/Sixout.zip': No such file or directory mv: cannot stat 'slots/0/Sixout.zip': No such file or directory *** buffer overflow detected ***: /usr/bin/boinc terminated Tried removing and reinstalling both boinc client and manager, using Software Manager. No help. |

If you're running CPDN as well, see this thread for cause and solution. |
