With my apologies as this may be VERY simple or often answered (I did search the message boards): BOINC 7.6.33 Windows 10 Climate Prediction Net Can't tell you if it's running as a service or not BOINC does run, I always have four tasks in progress, and they complete. The cpdn website shows 11 completed tasks for around 130,000 credits in the last month: https://www.cpdn.org/cpdnboinc/show_host_detail.php?hostid=1442331 User QLB That's all good, BUT my BOINC Manager user total, user average, host total, all projects are zero/ flat What do I have to change to have my credits show on my account? I am about to launch some students onto BOINC and want to make sure that it works for me. Many thanks indeed Quentin |

See the many, many threads at CPDN concerning their bespoke credit-granting script and how it's having problems keeping up with the increasing number of historical data records in their database. |

I did search what I believe to be the right boards for posts on credit, update, RAC, points etc. but did not find what you refer to. I take from your message that "it's broken", so thanks for that. |

Not having ever looked at CPDN I also had no idea where to look for a minute or so but found this https://www.cpdn.org/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=8448 Which I believe is what Richard was referring to. |

Bernie, thanks! BTW credit matters to me because I am looking to start hundreds of Arts college students who are engaged with climate on cpdn, and if the software tells them that they haven't achieved anything, my "trust me, it did stuff" isn't going to hold any sway at all. UI/UX is absolutely critical. I got my degree in Physics 30 years ago, so I am happy doing some digging, but (rightly) people today expect computers to be people-literate. If you push an elevator button and it doesn't light up 99% will push it again, it's the same as the software telling you that you achieved nothing. Fortunately, I have been in touch with cpdn directly and they are very kindly talking about releasing some work units that will show graphics etc/ signs of progress. All the best Quentin |
