Dear All, apologies if this has come up previously. I have an mini-itx mobo with a an AMD E-350 that I use to play around with (Gigabyte E350N Win8) and test various light linux versions. It's currently running LXLE quite successfully with an up to date 4.4.0-116 kernel and 4GB ram. Installation of the Boinc Client (7.6.31+dfsg-6ubuntu1) is straightforward and is running SETI V8.0 without problems. Only issue: it refuses to use the E350s graphic cores. OpenGL acknowledges their presence, using the renderer AMD PALM (DRM 2.43.0 / 4.4.0-116-generic, LLVM 5.0.0), with GL Version 3.0 Mesa 17.2.8. I have followed the BOINC Debian Wiki's advice, but no success. Any ideas? Many thanks, Fordiebianco |

SETI has applications for Open'C'L (computing on graphics chips) but not for Open'G'L (rendering graphics on graphics chips). |

Hi, many thanks for this. As the AMDPRO driver apparently delivers OpenGL functionality, will try to install it and feed back. FB |
