I have BOINC 7.8.3 x64 running Windows 8.1 on two almost identical machines, (4GHz i7's). They are connected to about 15 of the same projects. Until yesterday, looking at the manager, sorted by progress, on either machine looked alike, obviously the projects running were not the same, but the list of tasks waiting to start was long and it would be necessary to scroll to see the full list. This morning, they are different. My other machine looks as it always has, but this machine has a very short list, ie. it has the eight running tasks and no more. I have both machines set to hold 0.5 days work, so that hasn't changed, but this machine looks like it has started to ignore this value. I did a Windows update on here yesterday, probably insignificant but an event. Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |

Have you looked at the Event Log? |

The event log only goes back to about 11 this morning when I rebooted the system to see if that would fix it. I think it might have fixed itself now, the list is getting longer there are 19 on the list, not as many as I'd normally expect, but more than there were early this morning. Very strange. I was wondering about a network issue, but the other machine is connected to the same router. Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |

The eventlog held in stdoutdae.txt (BOINC data directory) is continuous across reboots. |
