I have configured my cc_config to have <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> but it's only use 8 of the 11 GPUs. From googling, I suspect this is due to my CPU only having 8 cores? Is there a way to get past this limitation so I can use all 11 GPUs? |

No answers but my instinct is it may be that this is a limitation of the cpu rather than BOINC. I could also imagine that especially if all 8 cores are crunching as well, you may well find that i/o is the limiting factor rather than processing power. |

What work are you running with those GPUs? Which project? There might be a possibility to tweak app_config so that every GPU tasks would use smaller fraction of a core than what the default setting in that application is. |

Any suggestion on how to split the CPU better so all GPUs are in use? |

What kind of CPU do you have? Does it output enough PCIe lanes needed by all the GPUs? How are the GPUs connected, at what slots? |
