Hello friends, forgive my bad english, I am from Russia. After updating my phone on Android 9, a strange anomaly occurs: current tasks are not displayed in the program menu and in statistics, but are visible in the notification blind. Screenshots attached. I reconnected to the tasks and reinstalled Boinc, this does not help. https://photos.app.goo.gl/iLxB9TRgTaUxDJ3y6 |

Could be a phone specific problem. It works fine on my Huawei P20 lite that updated to Android 9 a couple of weeks ago. A newer version of the Android BOINC app is going to be released in a couple of weeks time. Perhaps that that will fix it, but in the meantime, you best make an issue out of it at BOINC its GitHub pages: https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/issues |

https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/issues/2467 is a different problem though. Your problem, as far as I can see, is that the Tasks menu-overlay doesn't show the number of tasks you have, it always shows zero tasks, even when you have a full compliment and they run fine. That's not the same as is said in 2467, where BOINC just stops computing the tasks after a while. It also always shows the correct number of tasks in the menu-overlay. |

The specialist told me that this is the same problem. This is described in detail in this post: https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/issues/2467#issuecomment-491751234 Also almost every time I see that if application was in background for a big amount of time and was stopped by Android core, it could never start working by itself and could show 0 Projects, 0 Tasks etc. As I understand it is because BOINC applications didn't restart its native binaries. But it is a separate issue. For now there is a workaround to force close and restart BOINC application to let it reinitialize in a proper way. THis behavior could be fixed, I believe. |

But do your tasks progress as normal, or do they get stuck at any time? |
