i Was running version 7.14.2. it was not communicating easily whit server and did not fetch for new task. i have uninstall the program and use regedit to delete all boinc entry's. I can not reinstall whit the newest version 7.16. the error message appear during installation. i have tried to reinstall the older version whit th same result. i have deleted all trace of boinc in .MSI file, installer file and restart the computer whit the same result. Somebody can help ? Please My computer: AMD threadriper 32 cores Win 10 World Community Grid André |

I taught it was a good idea at the time. Usually I use Revo Uninstaller to delete all the file properly. |

Thank you for your help. I have followed all the instruction of this page: https://boinc.mundayweb.com/wiki/index.php?title=Windows_Installer_Error_1706:_Setup_cannot_find_the_required_files except for the 7e step. The installation of boinc 5.10.45 directly on the c: disk without using the CMD command works very well. The 7.16 version install afterwards easily. I have used the step 6 to uninstall Boinc with no luck. Thank you again for directing me to that page. Finally resolved |
