Not sure if this is intentional or a bug. Have a time to compute set, I do not have a time for network access set (no check mark.) While the compute time is suspended, network access is also being suspended. Windoze 7, BOINC 7.16.5 (x64) I had allowed compute, by menu selection Run Always, and some tasks came up "waiting for network access" even though the network preferences have no time of day restriction. I do have transfer rate restrictions. What I was setting up was for summer, on hot days suspend in the afternoon, but on forecast cooler days, allow crunching via the menu. |

Make sure it's not set on a project web site either. Because that's what BOINC will fall back to if no option is set in local preferences. I just tested it on my 7.16.5, set to run only between 00:00 and 09:00 (it's 17:40 here). 22/04/2020 17:40:53 | | Suspending computation - time of day That's the only line it wrote. So check your global_prefs.xml file and global_prefs_overide.xml files for <net_start_hour>0.000000</net_start_hour> <net_end_hour>0.000000</net_end_hour>And else put them into global_prefs_override.xml underneath the <end_hour>0.000000</end_hour> line. |

Make sure it's not set on a project web site either. Because that's what BOINC will fall back to if no option is set in local preferences. Present in both files with zero values. Not set on any web site. The suspending entry, and a resume entry where I set run always are the only items I see in the log. IIRC it was on LHC jobs, and they need to be talking to home all the time they run. I do see where many up/down loads happened. Perhaps the error isn't in BOINC but in the science code? I'll get a screen shot of the task list next time I see it. |

Which ones of LHC? Standard Sixtrack, or the ones running in a VM? Because if the latter, it could be a setting in the VM and I am not sure if BOINC sets that or the project. |
