https://boinc.berkeley.edu/show_user.php?userid=30641 was my previous account, but I had to register with exact same email and nickname to login today. Does the forum delete inactive accounts or did it remove all accounts at some point? The same email is used for my BOINC projects and I am active in past few years. No problem there. PS: I saw the GDPR post on top, but it didn't mention about auto-deleting accounts. I am pretty sure I didn't take any action for my BOINC forum account. ![]() |

If your account is deleted it's no longer approachable. Your old one is, which means you must have used a different email address or made a typo in it while registering. I can ask David to check that in the database, but won't expect an answer until after the holidays. |

Hello from my old account I just recovered. :-) I guess that means the forum allows duplicated nicknames? I failed to login from the credentials saved by browser so I assumed I used same email address here. Turns out that account is still using an ancient email address I almost lost. My browser is confused by my setiathome forum account since it's also on berkeley.edu... |

I guess that means the forum allows duplicated nicknames? Yes the identifier is your e-mail address as they are all unique |
