I've downloaded and configured the AIX version of BOINC and it starts, connects and runs the CPU benchmarks... However, it never downloads any work. I have it running on Solaris and Windows just fine...
Here is the output I receive from BOINC when it goes to download the work units from Seti@home:

You did compile a Seti application for this platform as well?
I saw you have credit, so your best bet is to ask about this on the Number Crunching forums.

Was it the correct Seti application? Was it based on the Seti_Enhanced application? (Can you give a link to where you downloaded it?)

OK, from what I can see, that Seti application was last modified on 29 October 2005, which would make it the Setiathome application.

Seti is only issuing work for Seti Enhanced. This application was released on 29 November 2006. The older application was phased out and is no longer in use.
So if you want to have work, you need to compile the Seti_Enhanced application.

Although I will ask Dotsch to pass by on this thread. Maybe that he has done one already.

OK, I asked Dotsch to pass by anyway, don't know if he will and when that might be. But that was my other option, point you to CVS and tell you to download and compile the application by your self.

You were one step ahead of me. :)

Stefan working still on the AIX SETI application. But he had a lot of problems to get a stable working application with constant valid results. So he never released the application.
If you manage to compile it on AIX, please let the reference WU running and verify, if the results are OK.
If you need asistance, I could help you to assist you at the compile and testings. But, please contact Stefan too. I think it would be a great synergy and he can give you a lot of hints and help.

I haven't been able to get it to compile... Keep getting errors about header files being available, but not able to be compiled...
I'm running AIX V5.3 ML05, GCC V3.3.2
will gladly beta test/compile etc anything you can get me to help out with the project. I have access to everything from a 7043-140 up to 590's...

David, please contact me at seti_boinc at dotsch dot de. I think we could debug this better via email.
