It's been sometime now that the worker (5.13 by Alex Kan or official 5.18) has been restarting on me. This happens on a G4 iBook when I have set the CPU% to less than 100%. An already-open discussion can be found here, but you can also examine the latest result which I canceled in order to access the stderr out readings here. Any ideas? |

I had set CPU% to 90% because on that setting the fan on my iBook G4 doesn't fire up at all! However, reading that the worker client crash is not exclusive to seti surprises me, since I did not have any such issues while running rosetta on the same machine, neither while running any project on my MacBook, both with CPU% settings set lower than 100%. So -from what you are writing above- I guess this (seti worker crashing) is a BOINC manager bug. Any chance it will be fixed sometime? |

The problem is that -even at 90%- the app still crashes when it's around 40% in the WU and drops down to under 10%. That's the reason I posted in the first place; any CPU% setting apart from 100% causes this behavior... |
