I have boinc running on Ubuntu Dapper 64 (not gutsy as i mistakenly posted) but it is not computing and the tasks show up as errrors in the stats. here is the output of top -p PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 8988 boinc 26 10 25876 3532 2680 S 0.0 0.4 0:00.53 boinc_client thanks Bernhard |

The "process exited with code 2" error is an application error. Best report this on the CPDN forums. |

Not one that I've come across before. Les suggests that it might be a permissions problem? |

The problem turned out to be that 32-bit package support was not installed on his Ubuntu 64-bit system, and hence Boinc(? *) couldn't start the climate model which is 32-bit code. * (I'm not sure whether it was Boinc itself, or the outermost layer of the compound application). |
