Version 5.10.13 could if the network connection interval was set to 0.0000 cause validation errors because the report arrived before the completion file finished its upload sequence. This has been fixed in subsequent versions.
BUT, I have seen a few posts that suggest a similar problem may exist if the scheduler requests more work immediately after or during the upload sequence.

Therefore would it be possible to modify the code so that all requests be delayed until after uploads, for a period equal to the connection interval.

The web says

(Leave blank or 0 if always connected. BOINC will try to maintain at least this much work.)

although the local preference box doesn't.
