One project, SZTAKI, reports that it has work but I need to free up space. 7/15/2008 6:21:53 AM||Preferences limit disk usage to 18.63GB How big is the drive that BOINC lives on? But perhaps that the above already shows where the problem is. You tell BOINC to use 20GB of drive space at max and leave 3GB free, thereby using 17GB. Then you tell it to use 18.63GB at max in your override preferences. Which may not be enough. Or there's not enough space left free. So, first question stands, how big is the drive to begin with? |

I have 155GB free on a 288GB partition. All my other projects run without problems, it is just this particular one. |

Anyone know how big the Sztaki tasks are these days? In the mean time, Chuck, increase the <disk_max_used_gb>20.000000</disk_max_used_gb> value. Make it 50GB if need be, but since you have oodles of space, just increase what BOINC can use. I see you're also using the overriding preferences. If you don't want to use those, but use the web preferences instead, go BOINC Manager->Advanced view->Advanced->Preferences->Clear. Else edit the settings here. |

Ok, I updated it to 50 GB, and then to 75 GB and still receive the same message from SZTAKI and it's always the same. Update... I decided to clear my preferences and put the disk space amounts on the web preferences. Once I did that, work downloaded and started to process. Apparently there seems to be a bug or something that prevents work from being downloaded when I use the override preferences. All seems to work now, but it should be something that developers look into. |

I wonder if the dash in front of some XML tags in your preferences file can cause such a behaviour, like - <global_preferences> |

I wonder if the dash in front of some XML tags in your preferences file can cause such a behaviour... No, I think the dashes are output only if you use a browser to display XML files; at least IE6 does so. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) ![]() |

Oh, I forgot those click/open and click/close things as I usually use a text editor. Thanks. |
