Good day. I have a problem with Boinc. I participate in Rosetta@home and now I get only one task so I can't use two cores. Every task is about 500 hours to complete. But it is counted normally - only about several hours. How can I cure this desease? My Boinc version is 6.4.5 wxWidgets version is 2.8.7 |

You need to set the number of processors that BOINC can use. This can be done on your Account page for the project, in one of the preferences, and also in the BOINC manager options (under Advanced). There's a choice of 2 on the server, one for pre 6 BOINC, and the other for version 6. As you're using a BOINC version 6, use the one with % of the processors. |

In my Boinc manager I have the following preferences: On multipprocessor systems, use at most 100% of the processors Use at most 100% CPU time. I have also set additional work buffer to 10 days. All the way when I get a task its time to completeion is about 500 hours. Only for about a week ago everything was fine. I computed two tasks at a time. Please help!!! I want to count and participate. |

Post about the time problem on the Rosetta forums, it's their application, they send the estimated amount of flops along with the task so BOINC can estimate how long it'll take. |

[edit] Okay, saw that it got solved on Rosetta forum. [/edit] All the way when I get a task its time to completeion is about 500 hours. Did you have issues with the system clock in that time? What are the Duration Correction Factor numbers for your projects (esp. Rosetta)? They are on the Computer summary page for each of your hosts on each project (near the bottom) or in client_state.xml under <duration_correction_factor> (one for each attached project).
