Hello could you please help me how to set up boinc manager to work only from 16.00 to 6.00 every monday to friday and whole day on weekend (saturday and sunday). Is it possible to set it? I have now set up working days 16.00-0.00 (overlap to next day is not working) and on the weekend is setting 0.00-0.00. Hope you could help me. Thank you in advance. |

What if you use the web site preferences "Do work only between the hours of X and Y" where X=16:00 and Y=06:00 ?? Alternatively, in BOINC Manager->Advanced view->Advanced->Preferences->Processor Usage set, Every day between the hours of: 16:00 and 06:00 Then for the Day-of-the-week override, you check Saturday and Sunday and set those to 00:00-23:59 |

Will that force processing for the 6 hours on Monday morning? Yes, it will. I have set my local preferences to run BOINC between 14:04 and 14:00, effecting in a pause between 14:00 and 14:04, just to check fan by ear (I wanted a 5-minute pause, but that doesn't work with only 6 decimal places :-). Additionaly, for the weekly AV check, I have set it to run on Sundays between 11:58 and 11:25. And the only pauses are the 4 minutes on Monday to Saturday and the half hour on Sundays. In testing this in past, setting times that go beyond 00:00, I've seen the most mind boggling pausing and resuming you can think off. What we need is a 2 part daily configuration for worker machines to make it transparent. I'm not sure if that would be more transparent; I'd like more decimal places. Added: For sat / sun I'd set 00:00-00:00, which is every last minute... time is of the essence :D That seems to work, too. I first thought it wouldn't run at all on those days or would reset the restriction, but at least it continued to run when I tested it for today. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben.
