One of my machines has been an aging PIII, 1gig CPU, 512Megs DRAM. I have kept this machine on a short leash at BOINC with just projects with short WU's, Spinhenge, Rice from WCG, and Rosetta.

Now this machine is being replaced with an ACER netbook model 1635, Intel ATOM 270 processor 1.6 gigs, 512kb L2 cache, 533MHz system bus, 1024 Megs DDR2 SDRAM.

On two Core 2 Duo machines I am running about 10 projects including all of WCG as one project, and 9 BOINC projects . It's fine, on both machines, everyone gets along, no missed deadlines, very mostly succesful completions.

It would seem to me that on this new machine I should be able to attach to all of my projects. Any advice will be appreciated.
