This may be the wrong place for such a simple question, but can someone recommend a version of Linux to run BOINC on a P3, The only other thing I use that machine for is OpenOffice, Thunderbird and Firefox, occasionally VideoLan. I have a free 20GB partition to install in, so multiboot would be good.

PS: I spent 30 years working with BSD and SCO Unix, so Linux would be "going home", and I can finally get rid of Micros**t for good

Tks

David

I'm having problems with Boinc I have just installed needed updates for ubuntu 8.04 64bit Linux for security and now Boinc will not start and makes my Desktop CRASH. Anything anyone can tell me would be of great help. Thank you.
