I am running version 6.6.38 on a dual-core processor that, until the recent up-grade version was running on both cores. Now, whenever the link connects, I am only getting one download at a time, and with the following message: "Your computer has no NVIDIA CPU" followed by "(Won't finish in time) BOINC runs 99.6% of the time, computation is for 100% of that" -- resulting in no work sent. What is this telling me? |

V6.10.X handles video card and drivers detection better. Some projects now can use video cards to process work. 2 - This is a bug in this version of Boinc where work fetch calculation is wrong. Boinc doesn't think you can do the work by due date so won't fetch work from the project. Either upgrade to V6.6.41 or use the Alpha test Version 6.10.X. Edited to correct version number. BOINC 6.10 won't fix it. I see the same sorts of messages when my BOINC asks for ATI work on projects that have no GPU schedulers. I've forwarded it to the devs already, they don't quite know how to solve it. It's a message from the server, it's not in the client. It's about the same weird thing at Seti. See what I get returned: 22-Oct-09 23:40:29 SETI@home [sched_op_debug] CPU work request: 0.00 seconds; 0 idle CPUs 22-Oct-09 23:40:29 SETI@home [sched_op_debug] ATI GPU work request: 864.86 seconds; 1 idle GPUs 22-Oct-09 23:40:34 SETI@home Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 22-Oct-09 23:40:34 SETI@home [sched_op_debug] Server version 611 22-Oct-09 23:40:34 SETI@home Message from server: No work sent 22-Oct-09 23:40:34 SETI@home Message from server: No work is available for Astropulse v5 22-Oct-09 23:40:34 SETI@home Project requested delay of 11 seconds It makes totally no sense as even if there was work for AP5, it would never run on the GPU. |

Thanks for your advice. I upgraded to the version you suggested; no change in results. Problem not fixed. The problem seems to be confined to SETI results only...other projects are running fine, same computer. Further ideas? |

Ignore it for now. It isn't harmful in any way. |
