I installed 6.10.17 over the previous version (I didn't uninstall first--big mistake?) on WinXP system. BOINC started right up with SETI, no problem. However my WorldGrid completely disappeared. All my stats (in the BOINC manager, not the website) are gone. So I tried to re-attach to the project, but the Wizard says "Failed to attach to project. An error has occurred; check Messages for details." In Messages it reads: Fetching configuration file from http://www.worldgrid.org/get_project_config.php

And that's all. I've tried many times, and those are the only messages related to Worldgrid. What did I do wrong? SETI's running fine. Do I need to uninstall and start over?

Well, I re-started my machine for the third time, after exiting BOINC and suspending processing. And this time when I restarted the BOINC Manager and tried to re-attach to WorldGrid, it worked! I have no idea what made the difference, but it seems to have me connected. It downloaded new tasks and I don't think it found or remembers the ones I already had in process, but at least I'm back on the Grid!

I am having the same issue but even after several reboots it continues to fail when I try to add world community grid

Could you please add a little bit more information, such as which error messages you get, what your BOINC version is and what kind of your operating system you use?
