Is there a possibility of adding a torrent option for downloading the BOINC installer?

I know that the program size is small (~7 MB), and that there are mirrors to help out, but there are lots of BOINC users, so it seems like torrenting could help save bandwidth.

Sorry if this has already been discussed. When I searched, the closest thing I found was someone who has made BOINC torrents before: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=924

I've seen some discussion, I think on the dev mailing list, concerning the use of torrent for downloading project applications. This is very much a back burner issue. The code would probably have to come from a volunteer developer. I don't believe the dev have considered supplying the Boinc itself through torrent.

Would it be okay for a BOINC user to make a BOINC torrent, or is that something the developers/admins don't want?
