BOINC doesnt detect my CUDA card. Its a NVIDIA 9800GT, when i first installed the card, I got the message that "no cuda card installed". I googled the problem and tried a few things, and now it doesnt even detect the card. I have an onboard video card that I am using as my main video card for now. my MB is as ASUS M4785TD-V EVO, I am running Win7, and GPU-Z detects both cards and the device manager sees the card, so I am assuming the card is installed correctly. I have the latest drivers for the 9800, and also downloaded the 190(?) cuda drivers from NVIDIA, and tried those as well. 12/13/2009 1:17:47 PM Starting BOINC client version 6.10.18 for windows_x86_64 12/13/2009 1:17:47 PM log flags: file_xfer, sched_ops, task 12/13/2009 1:17:47 PM Libraries: libcurl/7.19.4 OpenSSL/0.9.8l zlib/1.2.3 12/13/2009 1:17:47 PM Data directory: C:\ProgramData\BOINC 12/13/2009 1:17:47 PM Running under account The Pad 12/13/2009 1:17:47 PM Processor: 4 AuthenticAMD AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 925 Processor [AMD64 Family 16 Model 4 Stepping 2] 12/13/2009 1:17:47 PM Processor: 512.00 KB cache 12/13/2009 1:17:47 PM Processor features: fpu tsc pae nx sse sse2 pni 3dnow mmx 12/13/2009 1:17:47 PM OS: Microsoft Windows 7: Home Premium x64 Edition, (06.01.7600.00) 12/13/2009 1:17:47 PM Memory: 1.50 GB physical, 3.00 GB virtual 12/13/2009 1:17:47 PM Disk: 292.87 GB total, 258.15 GB free 12/13/2009 1:17:47 PM Local time is UTC -6 hours 12/13/2009 1:17:48 PM ATI GPU 0: ATI Radeon HD 2300/2400/3200 (RV610) (CAL version 1.4.344, 640MB, 48 GFLOPS peak) 12/13/2009 1:17:49 PM Not using a proxy 12/13/2009 1:17:49 PM SETI@home URL http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/; Computer ID 5215934; resource share 200 12/13/2009 1:17:49 PM SETI@home General prefs: from SETI@home (last modified 12-Dec-2009 20:37:24) 12/13/2009 1:17:49 PM SETI@home Computer location: work 12/13/2009 1:17:49 PM General prefs: using separate prefs for work 12/13/2009 1:17:49 PM Reading preferences override file 12/13/2009 1:17:49 PM Preferences limit memory usage when active to 1343.38MB 12/13/2009 1:17:49 PM Preferences limit memory usage when idle to 1612.06MB 12/13/2009 1:17:49 PM Preferences limit disk usage to 100.00GB 12/13/2009 1:17:49 PM SETI@home Restarting task 22no06ac.23174.2117.13.10.188_1 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 12/13/2009 1:17:49 PM SETI@home Restarting task 22no06ac.22927.4162.12.10.132_1 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 12/13/2009 1:17:50 PM SETI@home Restarting task 12dc06aa.23775.4162.5.10.218_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 12/13/2009 1:17:50 PM SETI@home Restarting task 22no06ac.8187.3753.14.10.209_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 12/13/2009 1:18:36 PM Running CPU benchmarks 12/13/2009 1:18:37 PM Suspending computation - running CPU benchmarks 12/13/2009 1:19:08 PM Benchmark results: 12/13/2009 1:19:08 PM Number of CPUs: 4 12/13/2009 1:19:08 PM 3067 floating point MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU 12/13/2009 1:19:08 PM 7554 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU 12/13/2009 1:19:09 PM Resuming computation Any idea what I am doing wrong? I also did not install BOINC in "protected mode". I also uninstalled BOINC and deleted the files from the "PROGRAMDATA" folder to get a fresh install. Please help, lol, I really only got the video card for BOINC for now... |

Do a search (top left corner of this page) for use_all_gpus or look at Ageless's CUDA/Stream FAQ. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) ![]() |

Your listing says: ATI GPU 0: ATI Radeon HD 2300/2400/3200 If that's the on board card, then the listing doesn't help with finding out what's wrong when you use the Nvidia card. |

Ok, well, still having no luck with this, but, could it be that I need to have a monitor plugged into the card? |

That will probably help, or use a dummy plug. Claggy |
