After installing BOINC and attaching my projects I can't stop BOINC from opening the Attach Project Wizward when I bootup. As Windows starts BOINC opens and trys to connect to the net (even with it set to "Supend Network". I end up clicking on the Network and then back to supend before it will stop trying to connect to the net. Plus It still won't work under a limited user account. Using Vista and BOINC WCG_6.6.28. ![]() ![]() |

Try BOINC Manager->Advanced view->Advanced->Options, slide "Network reminder interval" to zero. Then try this again. |

Try BOINC Manager->Advanced view->Advanced->Options, slide "Network reminder interval" to zero. Then try this again. Didn't Work! Here is what goes on: 1 Start PC 2 Click on Account and add password 3 Vista opens to desktop 4 Background stuff loads 5 BOINC open to the Advance View and Attach Project Box opens with the following: Project Not Found The URL you supplied is not that of a BOINC Based Project. Please check the URL and try again. It gives you the choice of Back, Finish or Cancel Meanwhile BOINC is trying to use the net to upload or download WU's!!! During the install I did tell BOINC to install in another loacation. Could it still be reading something from an OLD install and looking in the wrong place for the files? The projects seem to run ok but this is very much a pain! ![]() ![]() |
