I am running Ubuntu 9.04 and keep getting computational error messages in boinc for all work units. I have tried ubuntu 9.10 as well and get the same errors.

Which project(s)?
32 bit BOINC, or 64 bits?

If 64 bits, have you manually installed the 32 bit libraries?

Will do as you suggested, reinstall the program and see what happens. If it gets more computational errors, I'll report the codes as requested.

I think you hit the nail on the head, I think the fan no longer hits high speed and thus it overheats. I have it cleaned up as well as I can easily do and it seems that it is just enough to overcome the lack of fan speed. Thanks for the suggestion, I greatly appreciate it. :)
