Hello Im new to SETI, ive been using F@H, but because its limited to only 5800 graphic card only, I wanted to use it here, well ive tryed at least. I have a quad core at 3.4ghz and a ATI HD 4850 and Windows 7 64bit with latest drivers, but for unknown reason I can not get it to work with GPU. Even if I unchecked all options but Use GPU in advanced view. I am using Riva Tuner to monitor graphic card usage, and the most I could get was 50% and that only for few minutes, while the CPU is working at 75% with no problems, everything other is working fine. Because I want to use that 1TFlop of power that this card has to offer. Any solutions greatly appreciated! |

This is the Boinc Forum, not the Setiathome Forum, There is no Setiathome Enhanced app for ATI GPU's (yet) so you won't be able to do any of that, But there is an Optimised Hybrid Astropulse app, but it only part uses the GPU, 75% of the work being done by the CPU, with short pulses being done by the GPU. have a look in Number Crunching at Seti for further info. Well im using Boinc for SETI, and I saw it could be done only by GPU and an enormous amount more then CPU in the same time. Ive written here because I use your software, I didnt mean any harm, and im sorry if I wrote in the wrong forum. |

It's not a problem, Boinc is just the Software that different Projects run on, each project has their own Server(s), Website, Forum, etc, and i'm just a user that helps others on a couple of different forums. Claggy |

For a list of projects that have Nvidia and ATI GPU applications, see this FAQ. |
