Acc'g to my statistics, I am using 28 MB for SETI@home, and I have 14.82 GM free & available to BOINC for other projects. I wanted to add one or two other projects to use the 14.82 GM available, but when I added BAM, and I also downloaded the newest version of BOINC, I got the "suspending computation - CPU usage too high" message. I set the preference to 0, but this didn't fix it; finally, I had to uninstall BAM, and this, along with the 0 preference, fixed the problem.

So, I'm back to square one.
I still want to add MilkyWay@home and Enigma@home, but I don't want to go through the same problems again.

Also, I've read a lot of the forum messages, but I don't know anything technical. I am the user who starts it up and forgets it and goes about my business. I also use the computer a lot when I'm home after work and on weekends, but my computer is free to crunch data for at least 8 to 9 hours while I'm at work and another 6 to 7 when I'm asleep.

Can someone help me using baby talk?

The "CPU Usage is too high" setting only needs to be set once. If you already managed to set it to zero, you can attach (through BAM!) to the other projects of choice, it won't bother you again.

It's used for non-BOINC applications, giving them the chance to run uninterrupted, as BOINC will suspend doing work when it finds any other program go over the limit set here. It's not a problem, it's not an error. It's an informational message.

So... tell me, what's GM, besides General Motors?
