It's impossible to launch BOINC for two days ! When the soft oppen, it launch the screensaver and there's no way to hide it or unactivate it. It just pop everytime I want to close it, so I can't access to my account, preferences or my stats ect... I'm on a macintosh and my version is Boinc 6.10.58. I tryed to reinstal it but I've got the same thing. Is this a common problem? Should I delete a file? Thanks. |

What if you open the screensaver control panel and select a different (not BOINC) screensaver, to see if that other screensaver always runs? At least that would tell us if it is a BOINC problem or something else. Are you sure it's the screen saver? Aren't you opening a Show Graphics window in BOINC Manager instead? |

I tryed to change the screensaver with the preference panel of my OS, but it doesn't change anything. The others screensavers runs but same problem when I launch Boinc. So it might be the graphics window, but I can't reach the preference panel, because of the instant repop of the graphics window. Kinda annoying, above all because I read a lot of questions and it was mentionned nowhere... Thanks. |

You may have to re-install BOINC. There's a repair option that pops up if you don't first un-install BOINC, but I'm not sure what options this gives you. If you first un-install, and then re-install, (for Windows at least), on the 3rd screen in, there's a button in the bottom right, Advanced, that gives you another screen where you can select/not select the screen saver when BOINC runs. (Also allows where to install the 2 parts of BOINC.) |
