Steven Yampolsky Send message Joined: 23 Sep 10 Posts: 2	Message 34854 - Posted: 23 Sep 2010, 13:54:41 UTC I have installed the 6.10.58 client on win7-64 box and it runs no problem but as soon as I log out, everything stops! Is there a way to re-configure boinc clint to have it run as a windows service so that I can auto-start it on boot and not have to worry about it. ID: 34854 ·

I just installed the service manually under "NETWROK SERVICE" account, gave that username permissions to the data folder and everything seems to be working fine. ID: 34858 ·

Of course there is. Security against rogue projects, to limit the ability of project applications to access files outside of the BOINC directory or to cause other problems.
