I have a Phenom II 955 quad system. The CPU is running at 131 F, Motherboard 91 F and Hard disk is 82 F. The Boinc with ABC is running on all CPUs. If I suspend the Boinc, the CPU temp will drop to 99 F. This machine is current ranked 38th on the ABC project, so want to keep it running. Thanks. |

First of all, I think that 131 F (55 celsius) is totally normal temperature. I think that CPU temp is fine, when it is under 150 F (65 C). If you want to drop the temperature, I think you could do: *Lower the clock and voltage of the CPU -> reduces the CPU-power, so it stays cooler, but then it's a bit slower in calculations or *Buy a more efficient CPU-cooler and/or make airflow better in your computer casing. |

You did say: F right? Well, for me, coretemp says I run about 80 C across the cores in 1 system. (I don't know why but the 2nd processor is hottest) Yea, add airflow will help. Lower ambient room temperature would help too. |
