Hi, I have a server which is connected to the Internet all the time. Since sometimes the server gets idle I run BOINC on it in order to help with the projects available (e.g. WCG). I'd like to know if there is a way to put on my website the current status of the BOINC running on my server to inform people about it. In another words, I want to display my account status and progress of the task on the website. I don't know if that is possible, if it is, please inform me how I can do that. Best regards, Caio |

I know Nicolas had written a script that read client_state.xml and displayed it. I'm not enough of a programmer to know any more than that. Hmmmmmmmmmm... now there might be a fun project for me to tackle. :) Kathryn :o) |

Hi, Where is this client_state.xml located? Are there any other config files that would be interesting for me to use? If so, could you specify and tell me where I can found them? Best regards, Caio |

client_state.xml is in the BOINC folder. The data part, NOT the program part. :) And in Windows, the default install location is in a section that MS hides by default. See this FAQ for lots of info on it. PS client_state.xml is not a config file, so much as BOINC's To Do list. Mess with the wrong bits, and you risk losing your work in progress. |
