I've been unsuccessful in getting BOINC to recognize my ATI Radeon HD 4670 card. Help?


BOINC version: 6.10.50
OS: Ubuntu 10.04 AMD-64
ATI Catalyst version: 10.11


fglrxinfo returns:

display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series
OpenGL version string: 3.3.10317 Compatibility Profile Context


libbrook.so, libbrook64.so, libbrook_cal.so and libbrook_cal64.so are in the /usr/lib64 folder.

app_info.xml and collatz_2.01_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu__ati14 executable are in /var/lib/boinc-client/projects/boinc.thesonntags.com/collatz folder.

The libbrook files and the collatz file are green in my Terminal.


I have set Collatz to use GPU, and set BOINC to use GPU even when computer is in use.


My cc_config.xml file in /var/lib/boinc-client has <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> in it.

I'm not at all experienced with Ubuntu so I'm not sure what I've done wrong. Are there permission settings I need to change or something? Something I've overlooked? Any help getting this working would be appreciated... Thanks!

(I sure wish BOINC was capable of automatically detecting and configured this stuff. I guess I can dream...)
