When I set, "Switching between Applications" to any time, e.g. 30 min. to an hour; the change does not seem to affect the length of the project at the scedual length of time. jphelan |

Think it depends on whether the app can checkpoint or not, and not all apps are capable of checkpointing. Check at project websites (you are running) if their apps are capable of checkpointing. Or are you asking something different? CIC1=CC=C(C2=N[C@@H](CC(OC(C)(C)C)=O)C3=NN=C(C)N3C4=C2C(C)=C(C)S4)C=C1 |

OK, but is your problem that apps don't switch after the time you specify or is it something to do with overall runtime? Initially I thought your post meant your apps weren't switching as per your setting, but a second reading confused me because you talk about length of the project. OK - check at the websites of the projects you run and see if they can give you an estimate of how frequently their app should checkpoint on your pc (eg. there's no point switching to another projects wu after 30 mins if it's going to take your pc 2 hours to reach the checkpoint, otherwise you would end up running that project in an infinite loop (until the wu expired) calculating for 30 minutes then throwing those calculations aways because the app hasn't reached its checkpoint yet) CIC1=CC=C(C2=N[C@@H](CC(OC(C)(C)C)=O)C3=NN=C(C)N3C4=C2C(C)=C(C)S4)C=C1 |
