Alright, so my problem occurs after installing boinc when adding projects. I'm not too sure when this began ocurring but after typing in my username/email for a projects (all projects do the same thing) it says it was succesful like it should. In the message log all it says is succesfully connected to project. Beginning download of files. But NO project ever appears in the project list. Also no tasks. It just says it has succesfully connected to the project and that's it. This is true for all projects as I've already stated on all computers in my house and I'm at a loss I've tried things like bypassing my router and firectly connecting to my modem, turning off firewalss playing with settings and the like. I can get tasks through gridrepublic. Its the only one that works. But once I run out of tasks I can't get anymore without reinstalling boinc and I can't connect to the projects I want (lhc@home2) Any ideas? |

Hi Karl Please don't turn off your firewall. Gridrepublic is a BOINC account manager. I've never used an account manager but as far as I know if you join one you then attach to (join) all new projects through the account manager (GridRepublic) and not through the usual project-joining process in the Boinc manager Tools menu. I think you should ask on the Gridrepublic forum how to join projects. The procedure is probably very easy. |

Problem solved. Turned out to be the content filtering from the isp. I guess I was able to attach through gridrepublic because it may handle connectingin a way that didn't trigger the filtering. Everything works now |
