Hello,

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium (SP1, fully patched, 64-Bit) on a Gateway NV73a PC (AMD Phenom II N830 Triple-Core Processor 2.10 GHz, 4GB RAM, 64-Bit OS)

I have noticed, after upgrading to BOINC 7.0.28 (x64), that tasks reported as "Running, high priority" by the BOINC Manager, show as running with "Low" Base-Priority in Windows Task Manager. What is the discrepancy/problem?

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

No problem, just the same words 'high priority' used with different meaning:
- in Windows Task Manager: 'high priority' is the Process priority (as used/managed by Windows)
- in BOINC Manager: 'high priority' means just 'run that task before any other' (when BOINC thinks that this task may miss the deadline)
(and the Process priority is the same as usual (e.g. Idle, Bellow Normal) for that app, AFAIK BOINC runs the apps always at Low/Idle Process priority, some apps may raise their priority afterwards (e.g. to Bellow Normal); BOINC never raise the Process priority when 'high priority' is shown in BOINC Manager)
