Anyone have an details as to how this picks the work its downloads? It seems it pics one project and downloads a little work and does it. But what are the factors as to what project and how much work it gets? I'm just trying to identify what other setting can be modified to alter what this setting does. More/Less work and or More then one project, Or anything else. Thanks in advanced. :D |

<fetch_minimal_work> will fetch one task per CPU core or per GPU and then stop fetching work. In BOINC 7.0 it will pick the work from the project that is most eligible to fetch work first. |

Ahh perfect! That makes sense! Mine seems to not be picking up work for the GPU that is what seemed to confuse me. I probably have a setting wrong someplace! Thanks again! It does not go and get more work if there work outstanding does it? |

Mine seems to not be picking up work for the GPU that is what seemed to confuse me. I probably have a setting wrong someplace! Work requests for CPU and GPU can be separate. If the work request does not happen simultaneously for both CPU and GPU, then after work was fetched for the CPU, all work requests will cease. It doesn't matter if the project has then 1 task or a million still available, the BOINC with that setting won't get more until it's been exited and restarted. |
