For some reason whenever I open BOINC manager on my Mac it will automatically close the app right after it starts up. I noticed this happening sometime after I installed BOINC on my laptop PC. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled it on the Mac, but that didn't work. Thanks, Bobby |

Which BOINC version is this with? What OS do you run on your Mac, OS X (and then which version) or Windows (and then which version), 32bit or 64bit? Difficult to follow, but do you have a problem on your laptop PC as well? Or did you mean with 'laptop PC' your Mac? |

I can't get the BOINC manager open long enough to verify which version it is. However, I just downloaded it again today with the latest version to see if that was the problem, but that didn't work either. The OS is Mac OS 10.8.2 and is 64-bit. This is the system that started having this issue. BOINC works great on the PC (Windows 7, 64-bit). Update: I found the version number for BOINC by looking in Finder. It's 7.0.31. |

Can you please check in your BOINC Data directory in /Library/Applications Support/BOINC/ what is in stderrgui.txt? |

I got it working. I ended up uninstalling it, but this time I then went into Finder and deleted all of the related files that didn't get uninstalled. After reinstalling it it's now working. Thanks for your time and help. Bobby |
