I have the app installed on a Samsung GT-I9100T which I will probably have for a while yet. It has: (a) 2GB of device memory; (b) 12GB of "USB storage"; and (c) I have a 64GB SD micro card in it. It seems to be extremely difficult to move things out of (a) and (b) and make use of (c). Is there some way within the BOINC app for Android to use the SD card for calculations? With the previous version of BOINC for Android, I constantly received messages that "(Project) needs X MB, There are only Y MB available". I don't get that message now, but the problem of not being able to do computation would be the same. |

No, at the moment the BOINC for Android app cannot use the SD card yet. That is slated for a future version. |

That's great news. Thanks. |

My Android storage was "full", I was getting an ever-increasing backlog of app updates for all sorts of other apps that I have, and I tried and tried but I couldn't work out any other way to free up some storage, so I uninstalled BOINC app for Android yesterday. It's a shame to have to do that, because 10,914MiB of the 11,781MiB USB storage is empty, and 55,804MiB of the 60,950MiB on the SD card is empty. |
